Pickathon Presents
The Detroit Cobras with The Mike Skill Group and Scott Yoder
-
Blurring the lines between R&B and R&R and soul, The Detroit Cobras are the go-to party band for those in the know. Singer Rachel Nagy and guitarist Mary Ramirez are the bad girls by the exit doors at the school dance, all leather and heels, sneaking smokes and passing the flask.
Surrounding themselves with a rotationg cast of some of Motown's finest rockers, The Detroit Cobras specialize in unearthing and reinvigorating the hits, near hits and sometimes total misses from the deep and groovy history of soul, and making them their own. The Detroit Cobras albums are like a secret decoder ring that helps lead the way to a better, more soulful forgotten world.

Mike Skill had the vision of The Romantics and created a band with Romantics'.
With “Talking In Your Sleep” recently featured in the 2023 blockbuster movie “Five Nights At Freddy's” and the Netflix sensation “Stranger Things,” Skill’s music has never been more relevant or energizing.
Accompanied by a powerhouse lineup of rock veterans from Portland bassist Kerry Movassagh (Tommy Tutone) harmonica maestro Rob “Captain Harmonica” Cullivan, and dynamic drummer Justin Matz, with special guest Dan Schauffler of “The Crazy Eights,” and “Nu Shooz”
This show promises to be an unforgettable journey through rock history.
From timeless Romantics’ anthems to Skill’s latest hits like “Not My Business” and “’67 Riot,” featuring Wayne Kramer.

It may seem foolish to pursue a life of music in these times but SCOTT YODER has never been one to shy away from his inner fool. Returning in ’24 with a fantastical new collection of songs on “Scooter Pie.” This sonic journey is aided by a group of musicians that include long time collaborator Bryant Moore of The True Loves, Carolyn B. (of Mt Fog) and legendary cellist Lori Goldston (of Nirvana, David Byrne, Black Cat Orchestra).
SCOTT YODER’s journey into the more theatrical elements of his music has taken him across the world over the past few years. Several tours of Europe and North America have followed each of his 4 albums; most years he’s onstage one out of every three days. Scott Yoder has played at many festivals: Capitol Hill Block Party, SXSW, Happy Sundays, Meltasia, Treefort & Lose Yr Mind Fest and has shared the stage with Kevin Morby, A Place To Bury Strangers, Roky Erickson, Shannon & The Clams, Death Valley Girls, King Khan & BBQ Show, L.A. Witch, The Shivas, and so many more.
