Frames in Motion
Indie Rock
Frames in Motion is an indie rock band based in Seattle, and is the creative vehicle of singer and guitarist Jack Shriner. Originally from Wisconsin, Shriner grew up in a family of musicians. He has been a songwriter and home recording artist since he was a teenager, and his music has been featured on NPR’s All Songs Considered Open Mic and Ball of Wax’s Audio Quarterly. Previously releasing albums under his own name, he formed Frames in Motion with bassist Matt Butler and drummer David Solomon in 2016.
Shriner painstakingly recorded and mixed the tracks for Euptablisses, the band’s latest LP, in his apartment, with Butler, Solomon, and other friends helping to bring the songs to life. A musical omnivore, with an expansive sound that merges elements of dream-pop, folk rock, and prog, Shriner’s latest songs reflect the variety of influences that inform his eclectic and introspective worldview.

"Micah Subar’s presence in a bar on Ballard Avenue on a Thursday night is peculiar; he’s well-dressed, sober, and serious. His persona begs for a beach with a hot climate in perpetual sunset. Then he plays, and I understand that the power of that persona is that it takes you out of Seattle." —Seattle Substream (February 2019)
Micah Subar is a Seattle, Washington based guitar player, singer, songwriter, bassist, producer, and collaborator on an eclectic group of musical projects. His imaginative songwriting tells stories of misadventure and the search for creative freedom through the lens of folk music, yet is delivered with a reverence for classic soul. After self-releasing several lo-fi recording projects and touring around the region with a small band Micah set out to redefine his efforts. He successfully crowd funded the ‘Daydream Ledger’ album, which released on January 15th, 2019.
Micah is currently in the process of recording a second EP, to be released in the Fall of 2019.
