The Compozers are a British-Ghanaian musical collective celebrated for their ability to fuse Afrobeats, Afro-pop and contemporary global sounds into a single, powerful live experience. Formed in London, their rise is a story of creativity, friendship and relentless dedication — a journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of the most respected live bands in the UK.
The group is made up of C Biggs (Keys), Pokes (Bass), Stephen (Drums) and David Melodee (Keys/Programming) four musicians who have spent over a decade shaping distinct sonic identity that bridges culture, heritage and modern music innovation. Their ability to blend Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and contemporary genres has helped redefine the role of live instrumentation in a digitalfirst era of music.
Beyond the stage, The Compozers are also an accomplished production collective. Their production catalogue includes major credits with Dave, J Hus, Asake, Jacob Banks and many more a growing body of work that has collectively surpassed 750,000+ streams worldwide, further extending their impact beyond performance and deep into music creation.
Their versatility and musical excellence have led them to perform and collaborate with some of the biggest names in music including Asake, Davido, Wizkid, J Hus, Koffee, Fuse ODG, Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Amaarae, Krept & Konan, Ms Banks, Kizz Daniel, Olamide, CKay, Oxlade, D’Banj, Beenie Man, GRM Daily and countless others across the global stage.
A defining hallmark of their career is their exceptional live performance legacy. From Bernie Grant Arts Centre to Kentish Town Forum, Roundhouse, O2 Academy Brixton, the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, and most recently Wembley Arena, The Compozers have sold out 16 independent UK headline shows and counting a monumental achievement within the UK urban and African live music space. In 2025, they reached another major milestone completing their first London residency at the historic Jazz Café, delivering multiple sold-out nights that showcased their musical range, dynamic chemistry and undeniable cultural pull.
Now more than ten years into their journey, The Compozers continue to push boundaries in both performance and production. With global expansion underway, original music on the horizon and a vision to elevate live African sound to even greater heights, the next chapter marks the evolution of a truly outstanding collective. And this is still only the beginning.
