Christopher Brown is an acclaimed musician, composer, bandleader, and educator who seeks to be one of the leading voices within the advocacy of Jazz music and American culture. And through the expansive range of groups he has assembled and/or performed with—which range from duos to Jazz big bands to military marching bands and orchestras—his musical and personal experiences have led him towards a deep interest in synthesizing the principles of Jazz music with the day-to-day practicalities of life. And as such, his local, national, and international reputation is what it is today.

As stated, the lens by which he navigates the world around him is informed by the principles of Jazz music. However, given that we live in a global market economy, and businesses are what influence the economy, is why his desire to integrate business philosophies with that of music, have been such a value add for himself and others, regarding how he thinks about the development of his band and his personal development as a musician. Which as he likes to say, “we’re all in the same business…the people-trusting-people business. No people, no business.”
