  • The Cab

    Pop

The Cab got its start while band members Alex DeLeon (vocals) and Cash Cooligan (bass) were still in high school. Panic! At the Disco's Spencer Smith got ahold of the group's demo and was so impressed that he helped the young crew ink a deal with Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen Records, which released The Cab's debut album Whisper War in 2008. Featuring singles "I'll Run," "One of Those Nights," and "Bounce," the disc impressed rockers and pop aficionados alike.

Since bursting onto the scene, The Cab's whirlwind success story has continued to gain momentum. Although the group has undergone several lineup changes, it was featured on the 2010 Warped Tour and has also hit the road with peers like Simple Plan, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Summer Set, and more. In addition, the band parted ways with Decaydance and Fueled by Ramen and independently released its sophomore album, Symphony Soldier, in 2011. Declared a "masterpiece" by AbsolutePunk, the album features the hit singles "Bad" and "La La."

  • Parachute

    Pop

Mixing full-throttle rock with dollops of blue-eyed soul, vintage R&B, and melodic pop radio anthems in the making, Parachute has arrived. With a diverse selection of influences ranging from old-school legends like Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Paul Simon, and Journey, to newer acts like U2, Coldplay, Maroon 5, John Mayer, Kanye West, and Arcade Fire, Parachute began perfecting its sound while the band members were in college in Virginia. The band's wide range of influences is reflected in the songs on the group's debut album, Losing Sleep (2009). Produced by Grammy winner John Shanks, the album crested at No. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon charts, driven by the success of the hit singles "She is Love" and "Under Control."

With an eye towards creating music for the radio, Parachute is unapologetic about aiming for popular appeal as it works to build a national fan base. "The joy for us is in winning people over with our music by getting in front of them any way possible, and having them spread the word to their friends," says lead singer, guitarist, and pianist Will Anderson. The word is definitely spreading. Having recently released its sophomore album The Way It Was (2011), appeared on television shows like Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live, and toured with the likes of Switchfoot, O.A.R., and Kelly Clarkson, there's no question that Parachute is headed for a happy landing.
