Formed over the course of 2016 & 2017, Fortress of the Bear play original rock music in the classic vein. Featuring bluesy riffs and dueling guitar solos, soulful vocals and a pounding rhythm section...Chuck Berry was heard to say shortly before passing: "I may have invented this music, but sounds like someone finally perfected it. .X-RAY was first started in 1996 with the very talented musicians Sean Divine, Darrren Loucas, John and Jim Steffen. First described as Junkyard Jazz, They played anywhere they could and got REALLY GOOD. They recorded two very excellent C.D.s, X-RAY (1998) and THE HEELS OF SPRING (2001). Alas, the world was not ready for their music. Soon disorder reigned and the TWIN BROTHER WHO WAS ALSO THE DRUMMER HATED HIS OWN POVERTY (WIMP) and went and became a herpetologist. Yes, a Herpetologist! Anyway, I digress. As the scribe of this world weary band of travelers, I'm allowed to digress once in a while. Shortly thereafter, Jim And Sean again put on their sophisticated other-worldly armor and formed the 2nd version of X-RAY, with new members Trevor McKorkindale, Bill Malloy, and Dan Weber on drums. Again, taking to the stage amid a thundering chorus of the masses (YELLING NOOOOOOOOOOOOO and STOP!), they played and got really good. They made a record called REVOLUTION UNIVERSITY, (2004). Again the world was not ready. And disorder drove its dark horse over the horizon and into the camps of the genius'. It was here that they altered their transmorphographic skin to become The Money Jungle and wait out the ensuing crisis. ( I cannot go into that too much or I may get sued by one of the surviving members, there are a few left I'm told.). But Now, it is 2015 and they are ready! The third installment of X-RAY.
