Born in 1976, THE BABYS took on the classic rock world head first with a full stage musical experience, giving rise to what quickly came to be known as their 'signature sound'. Billboard chart-climbers like "Every Time I Think of You", "Midnight Rendezvous" and "Isn't It Time" helped to launch them into worldwide recognition while also helping to carve out their permanent place in music history. THE BABYS were the first band ever signed to a million dollar record deal with Chrysalis Records on the basis of a 'new' thing called 'video'.

After a successful run from 1976-1981, THE BABYS disbanded, but are thrilled to be back after a three decade absence! Co-founders Tony Brock (drums) and Wally Stocker (lead guitar) launched a nationwide talent search at the end of 2012 to find the right lead vocalist, additional guitarist, keyboardist and iconic Babettes to capture and complete the full richest of the classic sound of THE BABYS, which they found in lead vocalist/bassist John Bisaha, guitarist Joey Sykes, keyboardist Francesco Saglietti and The Babettes; Holly Bisaha and Elisa Chadbourne.

In 2014, the new BABYS released the album I'll Have Some of That!, which included 14 tracks blending the classic rock BABYS sound with a modern signature that has been critically-acclaimed by both the music industry and fans alike. Fans may continue to purchase their copy of I'll Have Some of That!

In January 2015, THE BABYS released their first official video to coincide with the single debut for "I See You There", which went on to peak at #5 on Billboard's Hot Single Sales, and #6 on the AC Top 40 Chart.

Since reforming, THE BABYS have played Rockin the Rivers, SunFest, Club Vinyl, The House of Rock, The Ritz and countless other venues across the country, garnering rave reviews along the way, including this comment submitted by Jeff Rudisill who attended their concert at RJ Reynolds Auditorium in Winston-Salem, NC on 8/27/16:

"Finally got to see you guys tonight in Winston-Salem. It was SO WORTH the wait!!! Not only did you sound great, but with everyone smiling so much it's very clear that you truly love playing together. And it shows!!! Thanks for a Helluva Ride tonight and come back soon !!!"

The Babys

  • The Babys

    The Babys

    Classic Rock

One of the world’s most beloved classic-rock bands, The Babys are back together after a 30-something year layover! The British group made a massive impact back in the late 1970s and early 1980s with hits such as “Isn’t it Time,” “Head First,” “Midnight Rendezvous,” “Every Time I Think of You” and “Back on My Feet Again.” Original drummer Tony Brock and original guitarist Wally Stocker are back, and The Babys have found an incredible new singer in John Bisaha, who’s vocals and bass playing fits The Babys to a tee, along with Joey Sykes, a renowned singer/songwriter. In concert, The Babys feature keyboardist Francesco Saglietti and The Babettes.

The new Babys have instant credibility with a new song, the aptly named “Not Ready to Say Goodbye,” which has all the classic Babys elements – amazing vocals, thoughtful lyrics and a chorus that lodges itself on your brain and refuses to leave for days; the song can be found on the band’s web site – www.thebabysofficial.com – and there is already an instant buzz. The Babys have been featured recently in Los Angeles Daily News, Metal Sludge, Rock Confidential, Classic Rock, melodicrock.com, bringbackglam.com, legendaryrockinterviews.com, classicrockrevisited.com, AOL Patch, Santa Clarita Signal newspaper, Ventura County Star newspaper and a score of others.

Former members John Waite, Jonathan Cain and Ricky Phillips have all gone on their own separate ways. Waite continues on as a solo act. Cain joined Journey after leaving The Babys and penned a string of hit singles including “Don’t Stop Believing,” the most downloaded song in history. Phillips is a longtime bass player for Styx. All have given their blessings regarding the reformation of the band.

Below is a capsule look at each member of The Babys:

Tony Brock, drummer – Strongly considered one of the best drummers in the world, Brock plays with a rare combination of feel and timing, combined with a preference to hit the drums just about as hard as possible. Post-Babys, Brock was a long-time member of Rod Stewart’s band in addition to playing with Jeff Beck, Bernie Taupin and others. Eventually, Brock founded Silver Dreams Studios www.silverdreamsstudios.com near Los Angeles, where he produced platinum records for Jimmy Barnes and a string of others.

Wally Stocker, lead guitarist – A key force throughout The Babys’ original rise to stardom, Stocker first left home in London at 15 with just a couple of pounds in his pocket and a guitar strapped to his back in pursuit of his rock and roll dreams, and he has never turned back. A favorite among Babys fans for his spellbinding guitar riffs that always played the spaces as well as the notes, Stocker went on to join Rod Stewart’s band, then Air Supply, then Humble Pie.

John Bisaha, vocals/bass – Blessed with a terrific rock voice that sounds about as close to one-of-a-kind Waite as you can get, Bisaha proved an instant star at The Babys’ first comeback performance in July. The first song was “Looking For Love,” and it took about 30 seconds for Bisaha to have the capacity crowd in the palm of his hand. He sings and looks great – a key development for the new look Babys to succeed – and through the years Bisaha has made his mark in several bands, theatre and studio work. A natural born star.

Joey Sykes - guitars - Born and raised in New York, currently living in L.A. Also spends time writing in Nashville. Sykes got his first real taste of the industry with the band Boystown. He signed a singles deal in England with EMI, toured and recorded an album. His second break was a big one - lead guitarist/co-writer in the band Coward. In 1995, after only 6 months of playing around Manhattan, they managed to create a bidding war, and ended up signing a record deal with Elektra records. Shortly after signing the record deal, they signed a publishing deal with Warner-Chappel. Lately - Sykes has been writing for artists, television, motion pictures, and producing other artists.

  • The Relatives

    The Relatives

    Pop

Formed in the city of Orange in Orange County CA, in 1999, The Relatives have released three CDs - two on Delirium Records, and their latest - "Tilted World" - on Slipped Disc Records. They have contributed to four compilation CDs, have had four of their songs appear on the Warner Home Video release, "The Utopian Society," which featured actress Malin Ackerman, and have shared the stage with such bands as The Smithereens, Dramarama, Missing Persons, Stroke 9, Alien Crime Syndicate, Stan Ridgway, Tommy Tutone, Animotion, Peter Case, Flock of Seagulls, Berlin, Gene Loves Jezebel, Soul Asylum, and Gin Blossoms. They were also featured as an up and coming band on an OC Weekly compilation CD.

The band started in the late 90's when Jason Arthur answered an ad in The Recycler for "Bass Guitarist Wanted". Chris Cyga joined the band shortly thereafter and for several years, The Relatives rocked Orange, Riverside and Los Angeles Counties as a three piece.

The group decided to augment their sound by bringing in another guitarist,so they recruited David Ramirez. David's soaring guitar leads and incredible tone have lifted The Relatives' sound to new heights.

Today, The Relatives continue to write strong original material, and have just released (in January 2015) their new album, "Tilted World" on Slipped Disc Records.

In September 2015, Dennis LeBlanc left the band to pursue other musical ventures, and the Relatives welcomed new member Jeff "JJ" Olds on guitar and vocals. Jeff is also the songwriter / vocalist / bassist / guitarist of Chino, California based band The Renovators.
