NYC based vocalist Alfie Jackson is a talent to watch, her pure soprano voice and choice repertoire gaining fans whenever she performs. Featured at the 2024 Chicago Jazz Festival and in Manhattan performing at The National Jazz Museum in Harlem with harpist Brandee Younger, also fronting the Dorothy Ashby Ensemble, tonight is a special release event for her sextet recording The Peacocks, and will be her debut at SPACE. The members of this hot young ensemble include prodigious tenor saxist Leo Milano, vibraphone wunderkind Wanye Williams, versatile Evanston-born guitarist Sam Roberson and the tight, energized rhythm section of drummer Chase Wilkins and bassist Danny Perez.
