Tayva
Singer-Songwriter
Tayva, the vocalist, song-writer, & performer from West Michigan, is an emerging star with a deep passion for music and live performance. With many musical influences including Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Prince, & more, the 21 year old prioritizes true artistic innovation with no short-cuts or gimmicks.
Every song of Tayva’s is written completely by her. In an increasingly machine-like society, she feels keeping the creative process as human as possible, is vital to rebuilding the connection & community people have lost since the dawn of the digital age.
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a generally conservative area, Tayva felt confined in the box that others had seemingly effortlessly slipped into. In anything she did, she couldn’t shake the desire to perform. She performed for the first time at 11 years old at her middle school’s talent show. Unexpectedly receiving a standing ovation, the young singer saw that she just might have what it takes to turn her daydreams to reality.
Her debut EP, “SO, T”, released in March 2026, dives into issues from heartbreak, the battle to self-love, beauty standards, and generational trauma. The project has sounds of R&B, pop, rock, and soul, with lyrics that are punchy and vulnerable.
Her newest single, "Goodnight", is a sensual track that demands pleasure amid the everyday stresses we all face. Needing just one good-night to make the trials & tribulations worthwhile.
