Description
Doors: 8PM / Show: 9PM / 21+ Talulah Paisley is the Brooklyn-based experimental rock'n'roll band led by singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Lyris Faron, whose compositions have been deemed “unselfconsciously whimsical...unapologetically earnest” by the New York Times. Fool, the band's debut studio LP, is out now on People’s Coalition of Tandy/Ducky Collection. It's Faron's take on a 60's psychedelic rock concept album- hers is about a girl growing up and falling in and out of love in New York City.   Talulah Paisley began as a secret bedroom recording project when Faron was between tours as a vocalist in Brooklyn rock outfits T-Rextasy and Sloppy Jane. She never intended to truly commit to it until T-Rextasy broke up at the start of the 30+ hour drive back to New York from South by Southwest in 2019. Somewhere along the Tennessean highway Faron spotted a truck carrying pianos. She had a vision of performing her own songs on one someday and took it as an omen to finally promote her own project. Along the way, Talulah Paisley was nominated as a “Best Emerging New York City Artist” in Deli Magazine and shared stages with Frankie Cosmos and Water From Your Eyes.
