Born in Jackson and raised in Brandon, Mississippi, Hogue was immersed in music from an early age. He made his first appearance on stage at just two years old alongside his grandfather, Jay Arender, and his renowned bluegrass group, The Polkville City Limits. Growing up around his family's beloved Music Barn in Polkville, Mississippi, Hogue was surrounded by musicians, songwriters, and generations of traditional roots music that would later influence his own artistic identity. While athletics became a major focus throughout his school years, music remained a constant presence. Performing with The Sips and later the Wesley Walker Band, Hogue gained invaluable experience playing venues throughout Mississippi and the Southeast. Those years on the road helped shape his understanding of live performance and laid the foundation for his eventual transition into a solo artist.
