Sydny August
Sydny August is a singer-songwriter hailing from Chicago’s north side. She meets R&B with an authentic, no limit approach. August emerged independently onto Chicago’s underground music scene in 2016 gaining recognition across local blogs, venues, and radio stations. Throughout 2017 to 2020, August released five EPs while maintaining Creative Writing & Business studies at the University of Kansas. She released her independent debut album "Miss August" during 2020's quarantine before signing to Lil Durk’s Only The Family, Chicago's #1 label. Her 2021 single “How Does It Feel” was her first single as a signed artist and has amassed over 2 million streams. Her following projects, released independently, convey relatable emotions with themes surrounding heartbreak, nostalgia, love & empowerment. August remains consistent and truly the one to watch

You can find her original music on all platforms. Her debut album PTCHWRK takes the
listener on a journey of growth through R&B, soul, and jazz sounds produced by 7VNTH.
She has been making music independently for eight years as a member of the Royal Family
Music Group and the Recording Academy's GrammyU Chicago Chapter. Her sound is
currently shaped at studioSHAPES in Lincoln Park. In 2024, she received the Black Music
Action Coalition’s Victoria Monet x Music Maker Grant. In 2023, she received the
LGBTQ+ Emerging Artist Award from CITIBank and the Music Forward Foundation, the
Quinn Coleman Scholarship from the Recording Academy, and the Young Artist
Scholarship from the John Walt Foundation.
Her performance highlights include City Winery Chicago, The Capri Theater, The Schubas
Tavern, Rockwood Music Hall, and the 50th annual Dillo Day, the largest student-run
music festival in the United States.
MOYANA'S work has been featured by GLAAD, the Best Buy Corporation, The View, the
National Women’s March Movement, the ACLU, KMOJ radio, and many film festivals,
including the 2022 Seattle International Film Festival and the 2022 DIYDS Festival at
Harvard Art Museums.
She is an alum of the 2023 Willis Wonderland Foundation Next Level Songwriters
Workshop and of the 2022 Johnny Mercer Foundation Songwriters Project, and she
served as a 2023 Keepsake House Artist-in-Residence in New York.

Young(In) is a writer and creative from the South Side of Chicago, whose artistry spans poetry, stories, and raps. Inspired by the raw, introspective lyricism of artists like Nas, Saba, Westside Boogie, Domo Genesis, and MFnMelo, Young(In) uses writing as a means of escape.
Whether he’s writing to tell stories he once didn’t dare to share or simply getting off a bar or two, Young(In)’s work is a reflection of his journey—one that blends vulnerability with creativity.
