    Country

The Sons-N-Britches story can’t begin without recognizing the rare chemistry finding a band actively rooted in 40 years of musical collaboration. Members of Sons-N-Britches have been together since middle-school, high-school parties, back-porch barbecues, and performing on flatbed trucks out in the old kudzu fields of Due West, Georgia. Throughout the years, members of the band have shared the stage with an impressive number of international acts, including Travis Tritt, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Roy Clark, Crystal Gail, and many more. SNB continues to be a featured act at the Bluebird Cafe, in Nashville, TN for more than twenty years.

Dropping the needle on a Sons-N-Britches record is like opening up the throttle on an old dirt road, as traditional country roots meet the heavier guitar anthems of southern rock. Whether it’s a hard-driving rock tempo or a crooning ballad, their master-crafted songs always get toes tapping and listeners dancing. Throughout their discography, listeners are treated to glimpses of Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Bob Wills meshed with the influences Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker, the Allmans, and Molly Hatchet. From the first belt of their anthem, “Real Dirty South,” listeners immediately get “This ain’t your Mama’s Country.”

Sons-N-Britches have produced three original, full-length studio albums, available on all major streaming or download platforms. “Live, Bait, Cold Beer & Gasoline” in 2011 spawned three songs that made their way to mainstream radio in Atlanta. “Second Hand Smoke” released in 2016, featured three more songs that became instantly identifiable on the airwaves. Breaking the epk and soundbite mode of the current music industry, their latest release from 2019, “Reverse, Neutral, 4WD,” was a labor of love to produce a backstory-driven, full concept album. From the drop of the needle, “Reverse, Neutral, 4WD,” tackles everyman themes of suffering, tragedy, and redemption through infectious melodies and heartfelt lyrics.

Currently in the process of writing for their fourth original studio album, the band continues to charge forward with the same high-energy live shows that keep audiences coming back.
