Country
Porter Martin is a country singer-songwriter whose musical journey began at age 12, inspired by performances at the iconic Bluebird Cafe. After making his debut at the venue in 2014, he recalls, "It's such a small venue, but I felt like I was playing Nissan Stadium."
Originally from Demopolis, Alabama, Porter picked up the guitar at 14 and quickly progressed from learning Eagles songs to writing his own music. By 2007, he was performing cover songs full-time, and today he is touring with his original music. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with artists including Montgomery Gentry, Cole Swindell, Love and Theft, The Marshall Tucker Band, Eli Young Band, Brantley Gilbert, and Dierks Bentley.
This year, Porter has played sold-out shows as far from his Nashville home as Maui, Hawaii, while also selling out Nashville's legendary Bluebird Cafe—the very place that inspired his musical journey. As a songwriter, he has collaborated with acclaimed Nashville writers including Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis, Casey Beathard, and Phil O'Donnell. His music reflects his traditional country roots and gift for storytelling.
Porter's first release, "The Cowboy," was featured in the trailer for the feature film Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid. His first radio single, "Walking the Floor," debuted on the MusicRow chart in February 2025, eventually reaching No. 47 and climbing to No. 3 on the CDX True Indie Chart. His current single, "Hell That I Call Home," became his first No. 1 on the CDX True Indie Chart and broke into the Top 40 on the MusicRow chart, peaking at No. 34.
When he's not on the road, Porter enjoys grilling and often keeps the smoker going during co-writing sessions at his farm in Ashland City, Tennessee.
"I want you to know who I am," Porter says. "I'm a simple, small-town guy Alabama guy who loves country music, football, fishing, and hunting." Through heartfelt storytelling, he invites listeners to find themselves in his songs.
