Chicago-based jam outfit Mungion has been turning heads since bursting onto the scene in the spring of last year. With excitement building from their exploratory live outings, Mungion’s steadily growing fan base received the band’s first full-length studio offering, Scary Blankets. The inspiration of their jam scene peers is evident throughout. “Schvingo” and “Hindsight,” built from catchy, strolling bass lines and prog-guitar wailing both deliver handily, displaying the influences of well-loved acts on the band, from Pat Metheny to Frank Zappa to Jimmy Herring and beyond.  When you see their live show it’s very evident that there’s a clear intention to create a set of music that is rich, varied and immersive — not just a collection of tunes, but a cohesive, complex sonic story that keeps people on their toes dancing. Mungion has just began to scratch the surface. They have a new album set for release in early 2017 and will be arriving in a city near you very soon.

Mr. Blotto was born in Chicago as an off-night vehicle for musicians who loved each others playing but were in different bands at the time. The only rule was that they would only play what they loved. That philosophy continues today and has led Mr. Blotto into unique musical situations. Mr. Blotto takes the Jam band asthetic into areas unfamiliar to the standard Jam Scene. They have been known to cover entire albums by Led Zeppelin and the Who as well as perform entire shows of Country and Reggae. Artists as diverse as the Grateful Dead, the Flaming Lips, Willie Nelson and The Velvet Underground have seen their material interpreted by Mr. Blotto in the 2000+ shows the band has performed in the last 15 years, yet covers only pepper the bands hefty catalog of original material stemming from five studio albums and other unreleased crowd favorites. "Barlow Shanghai", the 5th and newest CD sees the band in collaboration with John Perry Barlow (lyricist to the Grateful Dead).  ​ Miles Over Mountains is a progressive bluegrass band from McHenry, IL. Touring through their fifth year, Miles Over Mountains continues to turn heads across the nation as their momentum, fanbase and schedule continue to grow. Since their inception in early 2014, they've performed hundreds of shows at bars, clubs, and music festivals with no signs or plans of slowing down. Collectively, with decades of stage experience under their belts, the band strives to provide the audience with a fun and freeing experience that can be felt both on and off stage. Miles Over Mountains plays a modernized style of bluegrass or "newgrass/jamgrass" that covers a wide spectrum of dynamics and feeling. Their live catalogue draws from their first two records "Five Star Heart Breaker" (2015), "Ballads & Burners" (2017), and their upcoming third full length album "Work Harder Not Smarter" (2020). In addition their cover selections are testaments to where bluegrass/roots influence can take songs from outside the genre, with lovingly selected takes on their hero's songs served up in their own fashion. The band has been performing, touring, and making records since early 2014 playing an average of 120 shows per year. is a high-energy "Brass 'n' Grass" sextet from Wichita, KS. The band, whose sound has been described as “...a stagecoach in overdrive”, has brought their eclectic blend of bluegrass, ska, punk, and dixieland to packed clubs, basements, and festivals across the US since their inception in the spring of 2007. CNS has built a solid following playing 47 states and 5 countries with their energetic live show and ability to fit on the bill with acts ranging from bluegrass to rockabilly; punk to ska. As the banjo rolls over rhythmic guitar, breakneck mandolin solos melt into blaring trombone and trumpet lines, while the standup bass and feed-bucket-trap-set churn out driving rhythms that carry the force of a Kansas freight train.

That's about as close as can be described without seeing Soap for yourself.   Originally from just south of Chicago, Illinois, Soap uprooted and moved to Minneapolis in 2007 and has become a staple in the thriving Twin Cities music scene. For nearly four years Soap held down a weekly Wednesday residency at The Cabooze, a long-standing tradition at the legendary Minneapolis venue. Following the likes of The Big Wu and God Johnson, Soap not only continued that tradition, but has expanded on it with a new allegiance of fans. This all-female bluegrass group from Chicago has been winning hearts with their beautiful harmonies, original songwriting, and entertaining stage presence ever since forming in November 2016. Following their debut performance at Winter Roots Festival in February 2017, they’ve gone on to perform at many festivals and events across the Midwest. Traveling east to the John Hartford Memorial Festival, west to Dawn and On Festival in the Quad Cities, north to Door County, and everything in-between. Performing events such as IBMA award-winning Frankfort Bluegrass Festival, Summer Stomp, Shoefest, East Troy Bluegrass Festival, Ladies of Bluegrass Festival, The Illinois State Fair, American Music Festival, and more. They have performed on the WGN Roe Conn Radio show, as well as at venues such as the Source in Manawa, Fitzgerald's in Berwyn, Schubas, Martyrs, and as part of events put on by City Winery and Navy Pier in Chicago. Born and raised to a working-class family, singer/songwriter Gary Moore II blends his blue-collar mentality with songs aboutheartbreak, hard work, and hard living. With influences from Hank to R.A.T.M., TVZ to the DBTs, and everywhere in between, GMII's songs find a place in the ever-evolving Americana genre. As a founding member of the Miles Burning Band, he co-fronted the band, releasing one EP and opening shows for regional/national touring acts and taking part in festivals like the Honky-Tonk Throwdown and Nippersink Fest. While recording the bands second release, vocal issues and the subsequent surgery forced him to take over a year off, and ultimately leave the band. With a successful surgery under his belt, and a newfound respect for music and singing, GMII began pushing forward as the working-man's troubadour. Working closely with long-time collaborator, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Michael Pentz, they've carved out an original roots-rock sound with a familiar feel.

Equal parts fast-paced and soulful, 5-piece modern-folk Americana act, The Way Down Wanderers, draw listeners in with energy, originality and soulful generosity. Playing, performing and writing together for just 3 short years, the Wanderers have built an enthusiastic and fast-growing following. Youthful and professionally trained, these young men captivate audiences with soaring instrumentals, foot stomping sing-alongs and a lively stage show and have created a buzz for themselves with their unplugged, off-stage encores and propensity for performing self-titled, “restSTOMPS” - free acoustic sets at rest & truck stops along their tour routes. We are a jam band at our roots. Our style is very passionate and energetic. We pour our emotions into every lick and riff we play. We play Rock, Blues, Psychedelic, Reggae, and Hard rock with a more old school take, similar to Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin. We challenge ourselves to push our creativity and musicianship to a new level, and to make sure the crowd really gets down.
