Subatomic Sound System + Screechy Dan will stage a multimedia live performance of the 1976 dub masterpiece by their former band leader and mentor, Jamaican reggae inventor Lee "Scratch" Perry to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album release. The show will incorporate never before heard audio and video of Scratch.  In 2016, Lee "Scratch" Perry & Subatomic did a 40th anniversary tour complete with a giant custom built replica of the gorilla from the original album cover that was crowdfunded by fans. The success of the sold out tour led to the release of the "Super Ape Returns to Conquer"album based on the reimagined live versions of the songs. On the new recording, which turned out to be Scratch's highest charting ever Billboard release, Brooklyn via Trenchtown. Singjay legend Screechy Dan voiced many of the classic vocals from the original album while Scratch added all new vocals which will be heard and dubbed in this performance.
