Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Johnson has performed on many of Cleveland's stages including Severance Hall, Bop Stop, Nighttown, House of Blues, Music Box Supper Club, Tri-C JazzFest, and Playhouse Square. As a vocalist, his professional works have been heard on national TV networks such as ABC, FOX and PBS. He has also opened for grammy winning artists such as Kid Cudi, Ledisi and Lisa Fischer, as well as headlining summer festivals in the midwest. Johnson has also went viral on social media after being invited sing on stage with grammy award-winning vocalist, Patti LaBelle. Johnson has accompanied the likes of internet sensations, national performers and international touring artists for the world-renowned Severance Hall and Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as a jazz pianist. These artists include Reggie Kelly, Callie Day, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Lalah Hathaway and Rachelle Ferrell.
