Brock, will be returning to WOW Hall on Friday, November 14th. This critically
acclaimed act has been leaving it's mark up and down the west coast since the summer of
2022 – delighting existing fans of Zappa's music and turning on an entirely new generation
to the musical complexity, biting social commentary and humorous musings of one of the
20
th century's most prolific composers.
Supported by an onslaught of 6 horns, tuned percussion and 4 vocalists, Brock brings his
unparalleled energy and charisma to the stage with every show. Together, the ensemble
delivers a performance that spans more than 3 decades of Zappa's music, pulling material
from early Mothers of Invention through the late 1980's, and presents the music with
power, authenticity and musical prowess – all served with a healthy dose of humorous
stage antics
There is no greater testament to the respect that SFO have garnered than the number of
Zappa alumni who have shown the band their support and encouragement. Arthur Barrow,
Ray White, Bruce Fowler, Ike Willis and Lisa Popeil are just a few of those who have
shared the stage with the band since their inception – all of whom come away with the
same reaction. In a recent radio interview with Zappa's prolific trombonist of 3 decades,
Bruce Fowler, the horn player simplified his thoughts on the band to 3 words “They get
it...”
If you have managed to catch them on one of their previous trips to Eugene, we're certain
that you get it too.

https://stinkfootorchestra.comThis tour features Ray White who first joined Frank's touring ensemble in late 1976 on rhythm
guitar and vocals. While being a talented guitarist in his own right, Ray was primarily brought on board for
his strong vocal abilities – and he wasted no time in cementing his place in Zappa history with his
performance on the 1978 release, Live in New York. He continued to tour with Frank through 1984 and
his unmistakable tenor voice was featured on no less than 15 albums released while Frank was still alive
as well as countless posthumous releases. Ray joined Dweezil on tour with Zappa Plays Zappa in 2007
and has played a major role in multiple Zappa alumni projects including Band From Utopia and, most
recently, the Zappa Band.
The Stinkfoot Orchestra presents the intricacies and eccentricities of Frank's music with power, authenticity, and musical prowess - leaving even the most critical Zappaphile pining for more. If you were able to catch one of the ensemble's last trips to Eugene, you know what an amazing show to expect. If you missed it, don't make the same mistake twice.
“The Stinkfoot Orchestra with Napoleon Murphy Brock admirably delivered all the musical virtuosity, compositional non-conformity, and satire of American culture that Frank Zappa distilled within his extensive oeuvre. The impression left upon driving home from this experience was one of deep appreciation mixed with laughter and amazement.” - Ted Silverman, Jambase
