Grammy Award-winner and two-time Emmy nominee Steve Tyrell returns to Café Carlyle, April 16-27. Steve Tyrell is currently celebrating his 14th anniversary performing in Café Carlyle’s revered holiday slot, having taken over for Bobby Short in 2005 after the legend’s passing. The New York Times has declared, “Mr. Tyrell is a terrific storyteller… his sizable voice filters Louis Armstrong through Ray Charles and Dr. John.” Ten of his eleven albums have achieved Top 5 status on Billboard’s Traditional Pop Charts, with his most recent, A Song For You, reaching #1 earlier this year. In October, Steve Tyrell released a 21-song extended edition of his 2008 chart-topper Back to Bacharach. The intimate setting of the Café allows both artist and audience to engage with one another, lending a feeling of a private performance rather than a concert. Is there a food & beverage minimum? Yes. For 8:45 p.m. performances, please note there is a food minimum of $75 for two-courses. What times are available for dinner? Dinner is served prior to all 8:45 p.m. performances with seatings offered at 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For 10:45 p.m. performances, there is an optional dinner menu available.  What time should I arrive for a performance? For 8:45 p.m. performances, guests are asked to arrive at the time of their appointed dinner seating. (6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.) Please note we are not able to hold tables past 8:15pm. If you are running late, please call the hotel directly so they can inform the Café Carlyle manager. All no-show reservations will be released thirty minutes prior to show time.
