Hailed by the New York Times as an “alto saxophone virtuoso” and a “state-of-the-art” musical thinker,” Steve Lehman will present a set of music celebrating the remarkable musical legacy of Anthony Braxton, in honor of his 80th birthday year. Lehman will be joined by his long-standing trio of Matt Brewer (bass) and Damion Reid (drum set) and by special guest, Mark Turner (tenor saxophone). Steve Lehman appears on over 15 recordings with Anthony Braxton and was a core member of his various performing ensembles from 1999-2007. -
