With the guidance of Steve Carter and special guests, we will spend a meaningful night to identify and then heal from past wounds that have kept us from reaching our full potential and the life of freedom that Jesus has promised every believer. In his new book, The Thing Beneath the Thing, pastor Steve Carter asks the simple question, “How is life working for you?”. He knows potholes exist and that the longer we live disconnected from answering this question, the more we will fill those holes with harmful choices. The solution? Allow God to fill them with His grace and love so that we can discover the beauty of grace, peace, and wholeness He has for us. Journey with a seasoned fellow traveler who has learned how to ask key questions that help unlock the places where we’ve buried things. Then dig deep, invite healing, and learn new ways to operate so that we may begin to experience the life of freedom Jesus has promised us. Our special guest and friend, Aundi Kolber is a Licensed Professional Counselor (MA LPC), writer, and speaker in Castle Rock, Colorado. She specializes in trauma- and body-centered therapies and is passionate about the integration of faith and psychology. She has written for Relevant, CT Women, and (in) courage. As a survivor of trauma, Aundi brings hard won knowledge around the work of change, the power of redemption, and the beauty of experiencing God with us in our pain.  We are also thrilled to join Forest City Worship as they lead this night in worship with both original and familiar songs.
