Virginia native Steinza has built an authentic, immersive experience for his listeners. He?s come a long way from his Virginia Beach roots, blending his skills as an artist, songwriter, performer, and producer, all rooted in his early passion for guitar. His sound has evolved naturally alongside his expanding catalog and reputation.

Steinza?s journey began with his 2018 debut single ?Cherokee,? an early showcase of his songwriting talent. Since then, he?s quickly gained comparisons to artists like Noah Kahan, Dominic Fike, and Matt Maeson, earning him millions of streams and a devoted fan base. His career took a major step forward in 2022, when he joined Matt Maeson on a nationwide tour and collaborated with artists Paris Jackson and Sophie Holohan.

A move to Nashville opened new doors for Steinza, deepening his songwriting and production work, including the viral hit ?LOW ROAD? by Adrien Nunez & Avery Anna. His live performances continue to captivate audiences as he tours with country stars like Shaboozey and Dasha, all while staying true to his folk-inspired roots.

Despite his growing success, Steinza says he is ?devoted to remaining grounded,? delivering music that feels genuine and relatable through every performance and release.

Born into a musical family in Nashville, Tennessee, Metts began playing instruments from a young age, gravitating toward avant folk artists like Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes in his teenage years. He fell hard and fast for artists like The Paper Kites, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Lord Huron, whose intentional lyrics and sweet, harmony-rich music became his north stars as he discovered his own voice and stepped into his own distinct folk identity. Yet it wasn’t until he spent a few years in the workforce as a coder that Metts realized the nine-to-five cubicle life wasn’t for him, and he embarked on a music career. He unveiled his debut single “The River” in 2021 and has been releasing a steady stream of songs ever since, finally quitting his day job to pursue music full time in 2023.

 After the release of his vibrant debut EP Monochrome, Metts traveled to Colorado to work on a new body of work with producer Andrew Berlin. From that came the recent release “Weathervane,” showcasing the positive aspects of an honest love. The deeply intimate yet widely relatable song is about always making it through whatever life throws at you, and trusting that home doesn’t always have to be a physical space, but a person too.
