Star the Moonlight
Star the Moonlight
Alternative
Star the Moonlight is a future-soul band straight from the outer rim, brimming with lush timbres and harmonies and driven by the powerful rhythmic interplay of interlocking grooves. It is the result of the unique collaboration of composer/songwriter/keyboardist/bass clarinetist Max Zooi and singer Hattie Simon, keyboardist Andrew Freedman, bassist James Quinlan and drummer Phil McNeal.
Having just released there first single "Don't You Think You Wanna" (available on spotify,) they are gearing up to release a wild psychedelic scifi music video for their upcoming single "Good Fight" on July 30th, followed by the release of their first full album "Haven't You Heard" on August 28th.

Aberdeen
Aberdeen
Pop
Aberdeen is an indie rock brass band based out of Brooklyn, NY. They create an overwhelming wall of sound with soaring, horn-driven melodies, supported by a bed of distorted guitars and raucous drums. Think a Trombone Shorty/Explosions in the Sky/Kamasi Washington super group. Brian Plautz is the primary songwriter in the band, along with Alex Conroy and Shubh Saran. The eight-piece band, featuring two saxophones, trombone, trumpet, two guitars, bass and drums never ceases to fill a room with energy.

Michael Mayo

Michael Mayo, 25, began forging his musical identity long before he hit the stage. The son of two successful musicians, the Los Angeles native grew up just a little more than 20 feet from the likes of Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder. This proximity helped Mayo create a musical path centered around the innovative elements of jazz, hip hop, and other contemporary genres.
After receiving his Bachelors from the New England Conservatory of Music,
Mayo attended the acclaimed Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance,
only the third vocalist to be accepted into the 20-year-old program, where he
learned from Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, and Luciana Souza, among many others.
Mayo, who recently moved to New York City, is a veteran international performer. His highlights include singing at the White House for First Lady Michelle Obama on International Jazz Day 2016, the Kennedy Center for both the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program and Renée Fleming’s American Voices Festival in 2013, and most recently, the Emmys Governors Ball in 2017.
Whether he is performing with a full big band, a rhythm section or alone with a looper pedal, Mayo's vocal style commands the attention of listeners
worldwide.
