Splice Series is a bimonthly performance event of all improvised music at the Beat Kitchen, Chicago. Curated and hosted by Peter Maunu (violin, guitar) and Carol Genetti (voice, electronics), it focuses on the intersections and commonalities between free jazz, new music, sound art and acousto-electric “instant composition”. Pairing seasoned players with fresh talents, the intention is to create groupings previously unexplored.
