ALEX BUDMAN - Since his move to Los Angeles from San Francisco in 2005, Alex Budman has been in heavy demand as a session musician and soloist, recording on a wide variety of albums, TV shows, and movies. His command of the saxophone, clarinet, and flute keeps him busy playing in the top tier of LA’s musical community. Alex can currently be found touring with songwriter Christopher Cross and as a featured soloist with the national touring production of Fiddler on the Roof.
As a bandleader in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alex directed the 16-piece Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, playing more than 300 shows and recording two albums; the second, Instruments of Mass Pleasure, was released in 2005 to critical acclaim. Over the years, he has been fortunate enough to perform or record with some of music’s greats, including Eric Clapton, Boz Scaggs, Erykah Badu, Clare Fischer, Liza Minnelli, and Rosemary Clooney.
The Budman/Levy Orchestra is an exciting outlet for Alex to showcase his tenor saxophone playing and direct a top-flight group of musicians, all while working with the talented composer/trombonist Jeremy Levy.
JEREMY LEVY - Composer/Arranger/Orchestrator, Jeremy Levy has worked in nearly every medium in Los Angeles. As an orchestrator, he adds his musical touch to scores in film, television, and video games.
