Spencer Day comes home to San Francisco for the first live preview of La Frontera, his exciting new collection of original music inspired by his life in Mexico. Blending jazz, pop, the Great American Songbook and Latin influences, Spencer explores the cultural connections between Mexico and the U.S.—and the unexpected ways music can bring us together.
This special evening will feature brand-new songs and arrangements from La Frontera alongside favorites from Spencer’s celebrated catalog, plus a very special guest musician from Mexico. With his signature mix of sophisticated musicianship, storytelling and humor, Spencer invites audiences to be among the first to experience where his music is headed next.

“I’ve spent the last few years falling ever deeper in love with Mexico—not just with the music, but with the people, the culture and the way so many of our traditions coexist,” says Day. “La Frontera grew out of that experience. It’s about more than just the border—it’s about what happens when cultures meet, influence one another and create something new. It’s a meditation on the many things that connect us and divide us. I’m incredibly excited to share it for the first time with the city that gave me my start. San Francisco has always felt like coming home.”

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — November 21, 2026 — Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Spencer Day returns to San Francisco for a special evening at Feinstein’s, offering the first live preview of his new international project, La Frontera. Known for his distinctive blend of jazz, pop and the Great American Songbook, Day has spent the past several years exploring the cultural connections between Mexico and the United States through music inspired by his life in Mexico. The evening will pair **brand-new songs and arrangements from **La Frontera with favorites from Day’s celebrated catalog, and will feature a **very special international guest musician, **bringing an authentic connection to the musical world at the heart of his project.
