Soy Celesté is a Latin Feminist Punk music project from Denver, CO. Celesté Martinez (she/her/ella) is the creator, lead vocalist, and guitarist of Soy Celesté. She is proudly supported by her bandmates stevie gunter (any/all) on bass and Saladin Thomas (he/him) on drums. Their emotionally charged sound melds Latin Folk and Riot Grrrl punk rock through creative imagery to ignite social change.   In April 2023, Soy Celesté released her sophomore EP titled  “Break Out,” which features her full band sound and is a collection of songs about breaking out of toxic patterns and relationships so something new can emerge. She is currently recording her first full length album "Feminista Manifestó" with her band and additional guest artists. This album captures more layers to Celesté's story, her identity as a Queer Chicana, and amplifies her intersectional feminist politics. The album is anticipated to be released in early August after a series of singles and a music video are shared over the summer starting with her original song "Machista" featuring Joshua Trinidad on trumpet on May 3, 2024.
