A New Orleans native, she has volunteered for over 30 years with community radio station WWOZ FM, where she hosts the long-running Soul Power show on Saturday nights.
Since producing her first event in 1997, Soul Sister has built a legendary reputation for unforgettable DJ sets and parties, including the 20+ year-running HUSTLE! dance party. Known for playing only the music she loves, her improvisational sets skillfully mix, blend, and beat-match vinyl selections spanning 1970s through mid-1980s R&B, funk, soul, rare groove, underground disco, jazz fusion, and true-school hip-hop.

A native of New Orleans, Soul Sister has hosted her Soul Power show on WWOZ FM New Orleans for 25+ years, and has hosted internationally-aired radio programs on Sonos Radio and Worldwide FM, among others.
As a performance DJ, she is the first to win New Orleans' prestigious Big Easy Entertainment Award for "Best DJ."
