Join Wildchoir for an evening of sound, spirit, and dance in collaboration with fellow Bay Area raised artist Jenn Johns! This will be Wildchoir’s biggest show of the year - a party not to be missed.

As the days grow shorter and the chill of winter settles in, let us come together to ignite the fires in our souls in defiance of the shadows all around us. This will be a night to uplift each other, celebrate our resilience, and nourish our hearts to keep fighting for a more just world. 

Accessibility:

COVID policy: Masks are highly encouraged for this show! We will be watching COVID rates in the coming weeks and we may require masks if the show takes place during a surge. Stay tuned.

Pay it forward (If you have financial ability this rate helps support others in attending the show) $40 

General Admission $30

BIPOC rate $25

*All ticket sales are final. Refunds will only be initiated in special circumstances where we cannot deliver on or must significantly change this event.

Financial Access and Discount Codes:

While tickets sales are a big part of how we sustain ourselves as a choir we also aim to make our shows as accessible as possible to a diverse audience so we are able to offer discount codes. If you identify as BIPOC (Black Indigenous and people of color) we invite you to purchase the BIPOC discount ticket.

    Wildchoir (noun) - a harmonic act of nature; the Earth sounding itself alive; a collective of voices, undomesticated and free.

     

    Wildchoir’s purpose is to invoke the power of music to activate humanity towards radical love and action - from the stage to the streets. Grounded in a commitment to social justice, ecological regeneration, and healing for all beings, Wildchoir’s music illuminates the joy, pain, and beauty of what it means to be human.

    Based in Oakland, California, Wildchoir is a diverse group of vocalists, artists, activists, educators, healers, and community organizers who join together in big harmony. They celebrate the confluence of their many cultures and identities making music that spans R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Folk.

     

    They have recorded on a grammy-award winning album with Esperanza Spalding and performed with nationally-acclaimed artists for social change including Rising Appalachia, Climbing Poetree, and MaMuse. They have also shared the stage with progressive heroes of our time such as Bernie Sanders, Ericka Huggins, Joanna Macy, and Resmaa Menakem. Their music has inspired thousands at festivals and conferences and festivals across California, including at Bioneers, Lightning in a Bottle, CIIS, Institute for Noetic Sciences, and the North America Permaculture Convergence. 

     

    In 2023 Wildchoir released their first EP titled, Love Anyway. The EP features powerful soul and gospel harmonies while exploring themes of connection, justice, healing, and self and community love. Wildchoir’s music has been streamed by millions of people across the world, and the EP is available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and is available for sale Bandcamp. 

     

    In 2023, Wildchoir also had their first tour, performing on stages for full houses across Northern California with kindred bands, MaMuse and The Feelings Parade. Wildchoir is most at home when performing at demonstrations and rallies, and has led thousands in songs at protests at actions in service of anti-war movements as well as racial, economic, and climate justice.

    Jennifer Johns, a beacon of multidisciplinary artistry, stands at the forefront of the global music and arts scene. Renowned as a dynamic vocalist, innovative songwriter, and inspiring producer, her impact transcends these titles, embodying a unique fusion of music, visual arts, and theater. Her work in social, environmental, and food justice cements her position not just as an artist, but as a visionary activist. Johns has captivated audiences worldwide, from Denver to Düsseldorf, Los Angeles to London, with her distinct blend of Afro-diasporic world music. She has shared stages with iconic artists like Ms. Lauryn Hill,  Damian, Stephan and Ziggy Marley, Yasiin Bey, and Meshell Ndegeocello, and graced revered venues such as The Kennedy Center and The Apollo. Her performances are more than entertainment; they are powerful calls to unity and empowerment seasoned with sensuality and sass!
