Lee is a full time songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee.
He earned a Bachelors degree in Music Theory/ Composition from Eastern Kentucky University. It was there that he studied classical violin, guitar, piano and voice. He was inducted into the EKU “Hall of Distinguished Alumni” in 2010.
Lee has charted 15 years worth of singles with, to date, 7 of them reaching #1. These songs have reached radio plays in excess of 10 million spins.
He co-wrote the Brother’s Osborne single “It Aint My Fault” which reached the top 10 and earned the Brother’s a Grammy for their performance as well as the Brother’s top 30 single “Shoot Me Straight” which also earned the duo another Grammy nomination.
Lee is a 3 time Grammy award nominee himself and has won other major industry awards including Song of the Year at the Country Music Association awards (in Nashville) and Academy of Country Music awards (in Las Vegas) as well as Music Row Magazine and Nashville Songwriter’s Association International annual awards. He has also won multiple “Songs I Wish I’d Written” awards as voted on and given by the Nashville Songwriter’s Association as well as 11 BMI awards.
Lee served as President of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI) for 5 years. He spent the last 15 years traveling to Washington D.C. representing and lobbying for the rights of the American songwriter. He has testified before both houses of the U.S. congress as well as countless meetings with Congressmen, Senators, White house cabinet members from multiple administrations, Dept of Justice officials, and countless bureaucrats reaching from the U.S. Chamber of Congress to the Register of Copyright. Ultimately this led to the passing of the federal Music Modernization Act in the fall of 2018 of which he was present in the West Wing for the President’s signing.
In 2015 Lee was presented with BMI’s inaugural “Champions” award for legislative efforts.
Lee has had success also as a record producer. He produced a pair of top 20 hits on recording artist Steve Holy including his 2006 #1 record “Brand New Girlfriend”
Lee lives in Brentwood, Tennessee with his wife of 26 years, Jana, and their 4 kids.

Nicolle Galyon is an ACM and NSAI Song of the Year winning singer/songwriter/producer from Sterling, Kansas. She moved to Nashville in 2002 and signed her first publishing deal with Warner/Chappell in 2007. As an artist, Galyon appeared on the 2nd season of NBC’s The Voiceand was chosen by Adam Levine for his team. As a songwriter, she celebrated her first #1 with “We Were Us”, a duet by Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert. Nicolle also penned, “Automatic”, the #1 lead single from Lambert's album Platinum, which included 5 songs by Galyon. “Automatic” went on to win NSAI & ACM Song of the Year and was nominated for both Grammys and CMA awards. Galyon’s most recent #1 songs include Kenny Chesney’s "All The Pretty Girls”, Keith Urban’s “Coming Home” & Dan & Shay’s multi-week #1 “Tequila”, which has been nominated for CMA Song of the Year and has also taken a run up the Hot AC Charts. Last year, Galyon co-wrote and co-produced the debut album Wild Horsefrom Warner Bros. artist, RaeLynn, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. Most recently, Galyon co-wrote the song “Consequences” by Camila Cabello on pop radio. She is also a board member for the Nashville Songwriters Association, heavily involved with the CMA Foundation’s music in the schools initiative and is the 2018 CMT Next Women of Country Mentor. Galyon has had other songs released by Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, Lady Antebellum, Florida Georgia Line, Brett Young, Kelsea Ballerini, Michael Ray, Lauren Alaina, Walker Hayes, High Valley, Ryan Hurd, Lucy Hale, Danielle Bradbery, Martina McBride, Eli Young Band, Jana Kramer, Josh Kelley, Dallas Smith, and Maggie Rose.
