Jay Mohr
Jay Mohr
Comedy
Comedian, actor and best selling author, Jay Mohr has been performing stand-up comedy since he was sixteen years old. With a career that has spanned over three decades, Jay has become an artist that is very difficult to define. Never wanting to rest on his accomplishments, Jay has always pushed himself to be more than just a comic.
After landing his dream job of Saturday Night Live, it appeared as though Jay had reached the height of comedic success. Little did he know that just three years later, he would be cast opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire and that same year co-star with Jennifer Anniston in Picture Perfect. Now the world that knew "comedian Jay" was quickly introduced to the "actor Jay." Never wanting to choose one career over the other, Mohr has brilliantly balanced both acting and stand-up comedy as roommates in his brain.
Additionally, he has continuously added other genres to his journey and wrote the best selling book Gasping for Airtime about his time on SNL and his battle with panic attacks throughout his tenure on the show. To this day the book remains a must read for both fans of the show, followers of Jay, as well as people who suffer from social anxiety, depression and panic disorders.
On a much lighter note, Jay's second book was the hilarious, No Wonder My Parents Drank, which describes in painful and beautifully funny detail the pros and cons of parenthood... which was subsequently optioned by ABC for development of a sitcom based on its content.
Jay Mohr is the rarest of entertainers. After 25 films and starring in his own groundbreaking series produced by Joel Silver and the late Ted Demme (Action) he starred in the CBS scripted comedy Gary Unmarried, which was critically acclaimed and was on for two seasons.
Jay has guest starred in over 50 different television dramas and comedy series episodes, but his role on an episode of Dick Wolf's Law and Order: Criminal Intent as a Charlie Sheen type character ripped from the headlines, garnered much attention and respect. "He's really good" said Wolf, "it's kind of odd because he is known as a comic and this is a highly dramatic role that a lot of dramatic actors would have had a very hard time eschewing and he does a great job." He added "... you know, it's like if you're playing tennis against a club champion, you're game should go up... the better the competition the better the game... and I think Jay really came to play."
Throughout his journey, Jay still loves performing stand-up comedy it's in his blood, his bones and his DNA. Anyone that has ever seen one of his concerts will be quick to tell you that there is no one better. Comedy Central agrees, having named Mohr one of the 100 greatest stand-up comics of all time. A simple bio doesn't do the stage show justice... as there are no notes, no two shows the same, and an act that never picks on the audience. These are the three tenets that Jay believes makes great live comedy, and the foundation is laid when Jay often tells his audiences, "Lets just jump off a cliff together and build our wings on the way down!"

Tommy Davidson
Tommy Davidson
Stand-up
Tommy Davidson’s exceptional range – from stand-up comedy and acting to versatile music accomplishments – have earned him a reputation as an extraordinary performer. Best known as one of the stars of the hit television show In Living Color, his visibility has allowed him to become a household name known for his innovative talent.
Davidson started his career as a standup comedian in Washington DC, earning an ardent following. Spotted by major concert promoters, he was first booked as the opening act for Patti LaBelle, Kenny G and Luther Vandross. It wasn’t long before he came to Hollywood and was headlining the biggest rooms and met Robert Townsend. This led to his first national tv appearance and starring role in Partners in Crime, the conduit to Keenan Ivory Wayans, who proved instrumental in Davidson’s career by offering him an opportunity to audition.
Tommy and Jamie Foxx, Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans and David Alan Grier — the uniquely talented cast of the most adventurous primetime variety show on television, In Living Color (1990), made TV history. The iconic sketch show was honored with the ‘Groundbreaking Award” by TV Land in a star-studded salute on its 25th anniversary and will be touted this April ’19 at Tribeca FF with another major award.
Tommy’s film debut started opposite Halle Berry in Strictly Business. A range of feature film roles from Spike Lee’s Bamboozled, where he received acclaim and praise for his turn as “Womack/Sleep ‘N Eats,” to Juwanna Mann (Morgan Creek) and the pivotal cameo in Jim Carrey’s Ace Ventura II: When Nature Calls, followed. He starred in the 2017 landmark, award-winning documentary, I Am Comic, opposite Tim Allen, Lewis Black and in the feature doc, Dying Laughing (2018), alongside Jamie Foxx, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer and Sarah Silverman.
Davidson’s hilarious impressions of Sammy Davis Jr., Michael Jackson and other icons have become infamous. His visibility on In Living Color led to three Showtime specials: On Strength of New York, Illin’ in Philly and Takin’ it to DC. Tommy hosted and starred in Showtime’s hugely popular Chocolate Sundaes special which garnered rave reviews and incredible sales. He just guest starred on season 2 of Showtime’s critically lauded hit series, Jim Carrey’s “I’m Dying Up Here.”
His elasticity as a performer is seen on the small screen with standout guests stints ranging from BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood opposite Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon to his hosting the hit series, Vacation Creation (ABC) for three seasons. As a voice artist, America fell in love with Tommy as the star of Will Smith’s animated series, Youngin’s, Disney’s animated series, The Proud Family and alongside Michael Jai White in the critically-lauded spoof comedy, Black Dynamite (Adult Swim) as the character ‘Cream Corn.’
Tommy’s long awaited autobiography, Living In Color: What’s Funny About Me (Kensington Books) is due January 28, 2020 with a myriad of key events planned around its anticipated release..
Tommy’s stand up dates always sell out. He currently headlines “Off Color Comedy Tour” with Keenan Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans and David Alan Grier prompting all to ask,” Is ILC coming back?”
