Old Gold returns to reset your spirit and activate pleasure with our all-vinyl afternoon delight at Three Top Lounge. Presented by legendary party makers Slo 'Mo and featuring the intergenerational DJ trio the Good Girls, Old Gold is our beloved daytime affair for queer folks and fam over 30. Twirl to R&B, disco, and house with DJs VITIGRRL and Lori Branch in the sun in the Salt Shed’s brightly lit lounge and enclosed rooftop. Book the babysitter, put in the time off request, schedule the day date for the ideal way to spend Valentine’s Day weekend as seasoned queers and allies.
There will be coat check, an abundance of gorgeous seating and the most iconic view of Chicago from the Salt Shed's fabulous rooftop. Tickets are very limited for maximum intimacy: Do not wait until the day of to purchase tickets, which are tiered in pricing: $20 early bird, $25 general admission with a limited number of tickets at the door.
Three Top Lounge is located inside the Salt Shed complex off Elston and Blackhawk. Valet parking is available for a fee or nearby street parking. Three Top is accessed via the Elston entrance and an elevator to the roof. It is wheelchair accessible. Folks who are pregnant, postpartum or have mobility challenges can reserve seating by emailing slomoparty@gmail.com.
Slo ‘Mo is a femme-founded and centered Chicago party project uniting LGBTQ+ people with joy generating events since 2011. From club nights to concerts to comedy, Slo ‘Mo aims to create spaces that are affirming, intergenerational and uplift local queer creatives and community. With a soundtrack that elevates R&B, house, disco and funk of the past and present, with a strong focus on women-powered music, Slo ‘Mo evokes nostalgia and works to honor its musical and queer roots. The Good Girls are a dynamic DJ collective hailing from Chicago, featuring the pioneering Lori Branch, the wunderkind VITIGRRL, and the trailblazing Lady D. As DJs, producers, and educators, they empower women, LGBTQ+, and POC artists by creating inclusive spaces and sharing their infectious love for music.Formed in March 2020, this trio boasts a combined four decades of musical expertise. Their mission is to make the world more intentional, inclusive, and equitable while delivering music that moves your feet and stirs your soul. They're not just good for girls; they're good.
