SHELLY RUDOLPH
Shine up, shimmy out, and get down — ‘cause it’s Christmas time, pretty baby, and Swank Snow is coming to town!
With “a honey-glazed throat to send chills up and down your spine” (Los Angeles Times), Ms. Rudolph will guide your way through sultry-sweet holiday gems, sassy Santa songs, and captivating originals — all delivered with her soul-so-bright.
Long a beloved voice and songwriter out of Portland, Oregon, Shelly Rudolph has performed and recorded with Charlie Hunter, Tom Grant, and Grammy-winning cellist David Darling, and her music has carried her to stages across Japan, Indonesia, and the West Indies. Known for weaving jazz, soul, and poetic storytelling into a rise-up singing sound all her own.
Joining her is the extraordinary Devin Phillips, born and raised in New Orleans, the cradle of jazz. A saxophonist of dazzling depth and fire, Phillips has performed and toured with Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Palmieri, The Headhunters, and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, lighting up stages from the North Sea Jazz Festival to Tokyo’s JVC Jazz Fest. His vibrant sound brings the spirit of New Orleans straight to the heart of Portland.
Rounding out this stellar Swank Snow trio:
Dan Gildea – soul-fire guitarist whose playing ignites audiences with groove and grace
Bill Athens – masterful bassist bringing depth and finesse
Edwin Coleman III – groove master on the drums, keeping it all swinging and shining
