SESAC Presents: In The Round with Jenny Tolman, Willie Tate, Julia Devlin & Taylor Davis

  • Jenny Tolman

    Country

Singer, songwriter, and unapologetic storyteller Jenny Tolman has built an entire world of her own where humor, heartache, sass, and southern charm collide. With two acclaimed albums to her name and a reputation for razor-sharp wit, Tolman has earned her place as one of country music’s most original voices, inviting fans to laugh, cry, and see themselves in the colorful characters she brings to life. As MusicRow’s Robert K. Oermann put it, she is “practically single-handedly bringing humor back into country music.”

Born and raised in Nashville, music has always been stitched into Tolman’s story. She was playing piano by ear at three years old, and while she once dreamed of writing children’s books, a guitar gifted on her 16th birthday set her on a different storytelling path. By 2019, she released her debut album There Goes the Neighborhood, a clever and unfiltered portrait of small-town life that drew raves for its humor and honesty. Her 2022 follow-up, Married in a Honky Tonk - which Wide Open Country named one of the “Most Anticipated Country Albums of 2022” and American Songwriter praised as “stunning” - cemented her status as a fearless chronicler of modern womanhood. Billboard declared it “permeated with in-your-face humor and witty lyrics that have become increasingly rare in country music,” while Saving Country Music hailed Jennyville as “a fulfilling place to spend a few hours, and return to often.”

Now in a new era, Tolman is expanding her world, Jennyville, even further, balancing her life as an artist and mother while staying true to the playful, girly energy fans love. Rolling Stone Country highlighted her knack for capturing the full picture: “In Jennyville, there is beauty, but also warts, and her songwriting exposes both with humor, candor and a heaping helping of compassion.” She continues to shine a spotlight on other women’s voices through her annual Cowgirls at The Cowboy Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming each fall – an event she hosts, curates, and performs in, which recently wrapped its fourth year. And last fall, she won over the national television audience as an artist hand-picked to compete on the critically acclaimed new CBS/Paramount+ show The Road, produced by hitmaker Blake Shelton and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. The show follows 12 hand-selected contestants as they compete for the top spot while touring with and opening for country superstar Keith Urban.

Whether she’s writing a tearjerker or using her signature sense of humor to hold court in Jennyville, Jenny Tolman proves that country music can be as fun, fierce, and multifaceted as the women who make it. Or as The Big 615 host Storme Warren summed it up: “For the past, present, and future of country music, look no further than Jenny Tolman.”

  • Willie Tate

    Country

Willie Tate is a country artist, songwriter, and storyteller with a voice that cuts straight through. His new EP, Never Learn, brings together six songs that have steadily built his sound, his story, and a growing cult following. Willie isn’t guessing. He knows exactly who he is — a little redneck, a little hippie, full of heart, grit, humor, and truth. Across his releases, Willie Tate shows a rare kind of range: emotional country songs, rock-leaning edge, late-night anthems, raw storytelling, and spoken-word pieces that stretch beyond the lines of traditional country music. This is more than music. It’s connection. It’s family, loss, faith, wild nights, hard lessons, and the kind of songs that feel lived in before the first chorus hits. Willie Tate isn’t just coming up — he’s building something real in front of everybody.
  • Julia Devlin

    Singer-Songwriter

Julia Devlin (Minichiello), 24, is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose music blends emotional storytelling with powerhouse vocals. Originally from Canton, Massachusetts, she earned a marketing degree from UMass Amherst before breaking into the music industry. With nearly 400,000 followers across social media, the “always know the exits” singer has built a devoted fanbase with her heartfelt lyrics and commanding performances. In the same vein as Gracie Abrams and Noah Kahan, Julia’s music captures the voice of a generation learning to heal out loud, while still resonating with the generations that came before her. Julia is gearing up for a groundbreaking 2026, with a series of new music releases and a secret project set to surprise fans.
  • Taylor Davis

    Country

Taylor started touring at the age of fifteen, playing shows all over his home state of Wisconsin and the Midwest. He moved to Nashville at eighteen and had an eight year residency at two of Nashville’s most famous bars, Losers and Winners in Midtown. He is also a regular performer at The Listening Room Cafe and Bluebird Cafe and is involved with multiple veteran organizations including Operation Song, Semper Fi Fund and Semper Fi Odyssey. Taylor has worked with some of the most well-known writers and artists in Nashville and has written songs for Big & Rich, Kristian Bush of Sugarland, Nate Barnes, Joey Hyde, Michael Warren, Allie Keck, Eric Van Houten and more.
