21 year old Sean Carroll was raised on rock and roll. The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin were channels through which he dialed in to the history of blues and soul music, bringing names like Freddie King and Leadbelly to the forefront of his musical influences. Less a force than an energy, less a movement than a mood, Carroll’s approach to creating music is by a method of “whatever feels right.” The city that surrounds him survives on the people that live within it and Carroll has learned more from those people than any class could teach him.
