SARAH GROSS w/s/g The Belle Curves
-
Sarah Gross is a singer, songwriter, and producer from Mastic Beach, NY and a fourth-year student at Syracuse University. Years ago, her journey as a recording artist began with her debut EP Between Stars. Six singles, two albums, and countless performances later, Sarah has solidified herself as a staple of Syracuse University’s music scene and a rising voice in Americana. This year, Sarah released her third album, The Riversides, conveying the nostalgic and emotive nature of water introspectively and in her relationships through a warm, folk driven sound. Since its release, Sarah has seen unprecedented support for her music, opening for artists, Sammy Rae and Lawrence, with an ever-growing following of 13.2k on TikTok and the support of fellow rising singer-songwriters.

The Belle Curves is the primary creative vehicle for Troy-based songwriter Delaney Hafener. A typical multi-hyphenate musician, she has an atypical relationship to fame - she doesn't want it. She doesn't need it, and she's not pursuing it. Delaney seeks authenticity, joy, and community through music-making. A stable yet changeable crew of musicians and creatives bring Delaney’s visions to life in the studio and on stage. Delaney takes an intentional, Brian-Wilson-esque approach to making recordings and pairs it with an irreverent, raw, yet tight live show. Precise vocal harmonies, distorted electric guitar, a groovy rhythm section, and a slightly sardonic sensibility carry Hafener’s clever and melodic songwriting. Delaney draws from a deep well of American music. Traditional folk ballads, jangly power-pop, and rollicking alt-country all make themselves at home in the sound of The Belle Curves. Seeing The Belle Curves live can mean anything from Delaney performing solo with some vintage guitar in her hands to her fronting a 6-piece band and making the unique claim of being both frontwoman and bass player.
