A psychedelic, dreamy pop-rock band that has been successfully transplanted from the Champaign-Urbana music scene in recent years, SANTAH features beautiful harmonies from the brother/sister guitarists that only those good ol' blood ties can provide. Their latest release, last year's Who's In Town, features early demos and alternate incantations of relative historical significance. It shows the band creating exuberant springtime anthems with sharp guitar/synth tones, melding seamlessly with stark moments that let the bass, drums, and singers get up close and personal with their listeners. Lonesome Morning, the first full-length from Evansville, IN natives THUNDER DREAMER, alludes to an unassuming journey. Both musically and lyrically the album hits highs and lows, joys and anguish. Songwriter Steven Hamilton's poetically despondent song-craft gives nods to the likes of Jason Molina, David Bazan and Leonrd Cohen, finding glimmers of hope, longing and progress among the dark backdrop. Paired with their self-titled EP, the four-piece has reflected their brilliant ability to arrange Hamilton’s swooning song-craft against a classic indie rock outfit. Local rockers DITCH CLUB kick the show off tonight whilst celebrating the release of their latest EP, a high-octane rock record that'll have you thrashing and crashing early and often. Get some.

    Santah

    Rock & Roll

Santah was born with their heads in the clouds and their feet stuck in the dirty ground. Luckily, right before they grew up for good, a tidal wave swept them up, quick as can be, and sent them teetering across the continent. They howled in confusion when that water came, arms all flailing, their faces purple as raisins. But they rolled back their eyes and just like that, they were in some holy home, right there in their own head, right there on that ocean, riding a wild and blurry-eyed vision, just being the most confused and luckiest boys to ever live or die in the whole goddamn world, just like that, all over the place.

Originally a solo project of Steven Hamilton's. Songs were arranged to be played as a band, and others were written throughout 2011 by Steven with the assistance of Gary, Alex, and Corey resulting in the release of our self-titled EP in 2013. We've acquired some local success, playing numerous gigs in and around the Mid-west. By 2014 guitarist Gary Martinez had left the band, so we began working on a full length album. Now with the addition of member Zach Zint on piano, keyboard, and percussion, we started to explore different sounds which we think can be clearly heard on 'Lonesome Morning'. Not sure what's next for us. We simply hope to keep writing and recording our music and not let the struggles of life get in our way of doing so.
