Whisperin’ Ry Jennings (Teddy and The Rough Riders, The Paperhead) was born and raised in Nashville, TN. His parents named him after Ry Cooder, and he later received the name “Whisperin” from the legendary Santa of Santa’s Pub due to his gentle voice that blends effortlessly with other voices in close harmony. His first self titled solo album blends the country rock storytelling of Neil Young with the dreamy harmonies of Harry Nilsson and the eclectic, explorative sound of Wilco. Ry’s songs tell tales of local Nashville history, family, and heartache with his own modern psychedelic approach to the country rock genre.
