Known for delivering a beautifully crushing wall of sound, Seattle’s experimental rock band, Bonney Rubble, fuses the dream worlds of Shoegaze and Doom Metal.Formed by couple Nick Mendonsa (he/him) and Julia Robins (they/them), Bonney Rubble was a long gestating concept born out of the pair’s primal desire to play really slow and really loud music. The duo are driven by the act of extracting beauty from the pulverizing soundscapes of Metal and the desire to insert femininity and queerness into a genre that is still largely dominated by masculinity. Their sound has been described as dreamy, hypnotizing, LOUD and sludgy.
