With over 375 shows performed since it’s inception in 2014, Runaway Gin is the World’s Most Active Phish Tribute Band. They have also been voted the Best Phish Tribute in the World two years in a row. On July 4th, 2015, after the second show of the Grateful Dead GD50 run, Runaway Gin sold out the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago and catapulting them from a Southeastern regional act onto the National scene. The members of Runaway Gin have united with the goal of creating musical moments inspired by Phish. The band's song list is constantly growing and their improvisational and communication skills are constantly developing independently and together. Like Phish, Runaway Gin will never play the same show or jam the same way twice making every show a unique experience and every moment pure artistic creation. ANDY GREENBERG - GUITAR, VOCALS   Photo by Ellison White Originally from Florence, SC, Andy began playing piano at the age of 5 and 12 he learned his first chord on the guitar and taught himself to play by ear. Andy started listening to Phish while at summer camp. The first song he heard was "Sparkle" and it reminded him of one of his favorite bands at that time: They Might Be Giants. He proceeded to dive head first into the album Rift and soon Phish's whole catalog often stopping to figure out songs on both piano and guitar to satisfy his vehement musical curiosity.  Eventually Phish would ride to the top of Andy's list of favorite bands a spot reserved for the likes of the Beatles and Led Zeppelin. Throughout High School Andy played guitar in the West Florence Jazz Knights, and founded his first Rock and Jazz bands at the age of 14. While a Jazz and Classical guitar student at Tulane University in New Orleans, LA Andy co-founded Dimorphodon (an original funk-rock project) as well as Mr. Hand and the Spicolis (an 80's Tribute Band) and had a bi-monthly residency at the Legendary Venue Tipitina’s. In 2005 Andy moved to Charleston, SC and co-founded many groups such as Space Armadillo,the Solar Circus, the Fifth of Four, the Thrillers (a Tribute to Micheal Jackson), the Buddhist Prodigies (a Tribute to Phish), Mr. Holland's Oats (a Tribute to Hall and Oates), Beck to the Future (a Tribute to Beck), the Reflectors, and played with Dave Seitz and King Street Band for many years. Andy hosted “Sunday Phundays” at the Charleston Pour House from 2012-2017. Over his career Andy has shared the stage with and collaborated with many bands and musicians including: the Dude of Life, Tom Marshall, Andy Frasco, Rob Compa, Kris Myers, the Motet, Pink Talking Fish, DeadPhish Orchestra, Phix, A Live One, Kanika Moore, Micheal Quinn, Wallace Mullinax, Garaj Mahal, Machine Funk, Psychedelic Breakfast, Atlas Road Crew, the Reckoning, Dan Caro, Derrick Freeman, Stockton Helbing, Elise Testone, Dr. Jimbo Walsh, Mark Bryan, Rodrick Cliche, Josh Roberts and the Hinges, Sexbruise? and many more. Since 1995 Andy has been to over 200 Phish shows. JENNIFER REISER - KEYBOARDS, VOCALS   Photo by Ellison White Throughout Jennifer's life, there was never a time when she wasn't listening to Phish. Raised in Greensboro, NC, her father introduced her to Phish when she was young, and she was instantly captivated by the complex absurdity of both the vocals and the instrumentation. When she was 11, her family inherited an old upright piano, and she proceeded to spend many years learning to play songs by Phish, Yes, and the Grateful Dead. She began taking piano lessons, and a few years later she was accepted into Weaver Academy, a magnet high-school for performing arts, where she majored in piano. After graduating, she attended the School of Music at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, where she received her bachelor’s degree. On the side, Jennifer records and produces her own music, having released a solo album as well as a number of songs with her band Fifth Species. She occasionally fills in on the keys for local Phish and Grateful Dead tribute bands around her hometown. SEAN BING - DRUMS, VOCALS   "Give me a beat" and Sean Bing will deliver! Born in El Paso Texas and raised in Barnwell, South Carolina, Early in life Sean was inspired by his uncle Cedrick Bing’s percussion skills and developed a passion for drumming. "Picking up the sticks" at the age of three, Sean grew to become the lead drummer for his family's church pastored by his Grandfather, Otis Bing. Years later, Sean was introduced to Clyde Frazier III, a well-known Percussion Instructor/Worldwide Performer, and began his formal training. Clyde's hard-hitting training helped Sean take his homegrown church sound to a whole new level. As he continued to excel in his growth, Clyde introduced Sean to a few local gigs, which quickly led to him becoming the signed drummer for an urban rock band called VILLANOVA, formally known as Weaving The Fate, a national touring act. While touring, he has opened for bands such as Panic At The Disco, P.O.D., and more. Sean continues to share the stage with many great musicians such as Mike Quinn, Corey Stephens, Cameron Wescott, Whitt Burn, Noah Jones, Paul Quattlebaum, Whitney Hannah, and tons of other amazing musicians throughout his nine-year career. Sean brings his high energy to feed the crowd and create a feel-good atmosphere. Not to mention the power of his soulful voice to make music lovers of all ages get up and dance! A perfect combination for a great night of music. TIM KHAYAT - BASS, VOCALS   Tim Khayat was born in Grenoble France and started studying music at a young age, inspired by his father. He picked up the upright bass first, then quickly moved to the electric bass, performing in conservatories in France. After his move to America, Tim started playing professionally at the end of his high school years. then decided to study jazz bass at the College of Charleston under professor Frank Duvall. Tim quickly made his mark on the Charleston music scene as a reliable, versatile musician and has now been performing locally and regionally for several years.  Khayat’s love for all kinds of music has led him to perform with cuban artists like Yusa and Gino Castillo, Brazilian singer/songwriter Duda Lucena, soul/rock powerhouse Elise Testone and Gospel/jazz artist Robbie Madison among many others, also plays for Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant, SC. Khayat performs regularly around Charleston with many different groups, looking to grow in his musicianship and bring joy to others. Tim is currently working on his debut album which he plans on releasing at the beginning of next year.
