After performing to Sold out Cabaret audiences in NYC and Chicago, Robin is thrilled to be performing in LA at Catalina’s!
Robin began her career in 1982 when she was cast in the Broadway production of A CHORUS LINE where she played Maggie, then understudied 5 roles until the original production closed in 1990. Robin went on to perform in the Broadway productions of ASPECTS OF LOVE, portrayed the Narrator in JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT opposite Donny Osmond, and IT ‘AINT NOTHIN BUT THE BLUES. Robin performed in many workshops including BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and was a fan favorite at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, singing the National Anthem for 20 years.
Robin took a long hiatus from show biz to raise 2 amazing kids in NYC, and became a licensed Real Estate Broker. With everyone on their path and no stranger to cabaret, Robin vowed to return to the stage and is thrilled to be making her Metropolitan Room debut! Robin thanks her family and friends for their forever support, and most importantly Madison and Michael who inspire her every day…
MICHAEL ORLAND (Musical Director/Pianist), one of the most acclaimed musical directors in the concert, theatre, television and nightclub arenas, is best known as the Pianist, Arranger, Vocal Coach and Associate Musical Director for 15 seasons of the hit Fox-TV series, American Idol, which provided him with the opportunity to also appear on most of the major entertainment news shows, as well as The Oprah Winfrey Show and numerous appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Currently he is the Music Director for the hit NBC shows, Little Big Shots and Forever Young, both hosted by Steve Harvey. Other television projects include NBC’s America’s Got Talent, American Juniors, The Nanny, What I Like About You, Half and Half and most recently, NBC’s Hairspray Live, for which he served as Associate Music Director.
Michael is an accomplished songwriter and record producer, as well as a published author (“Chicken Soup For The American Idol Soul”). He is currently working on a solo piano album and, together with Dr. Staci Gruber, composing music for several projects written by best-selling author, Patricia Cornwell.
