S.M. Wolf is a psych/power-pop band from Indianapolis, IN. By day, Adam, the front man, is an elementary school special education teacher in Indianapolis, but has been in touring bands for most of his adult life. S.M. Wolf started as a solo project to release a one-off cassette EP in celebration of the 2013 Vernal Equinox. The songs ended up being well received, so a band was formed with members from Adam's previous bands (Melanie Rau, Ben Leslie, Bryan Unruh, Rachel Enneking) who started playing and recording together Over the past few years they've released some one-off singles and EPs with labels like Joyful Noise Recordings, People in a Position to Know, and Jurassic Pop Recordings. S.M. Wolf released their first full length, Neon Debris, in 2015 and received solid press attention, including a music video premier on The Nerdist, coverage in blogs like Impose and MOKB, and sessions with Daytrotter and Laundromatinee. After several regional and national tours they settled into Adam's home studio, The Cola Cult, to record their new forthcoming album Bad Ocean.
No Sinatras was born in Chicago as a collaboration between brothers who wanted to play a type of rock music they weren’t hearing elsewhere. The band has grown but the philosophy established by the brothers continues – if you’re not hearing it some place else, play it. This mindset has lead No Sinatras to take the indie rock aesthetic into some unfamiliar places. By channeling influences of post-punk, grunge, psychedelic and classic rock they have developed an original sound of their own. Spirited rhythms, stacked guitars and vintage organ form a foundation for Nick Cave-style vocals and diverse lyrics. This unique sound is engaging both on record and during their energetic live shows.
The Inventors are a three piece rock band that calls Chicago home. We draw influences from every genre and apply that to everything we do from writing, recording, and performing. Come see us live!
