*Happy Hour Concert Series* featuring The Richard Knox Quartet Richard Knox, a seasoned pianist and performer, arrived in New Orleans from Champaign, Illinois in 1966, quickly becoming a vital part of the city’s vibrant music scene. Over more than five decades, he has performed with legendary artists like Dizzy Gillespie, the Marsalis brothers, The Neville Brothers, and Elvis Costello, and was a longtime member of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band as well as a key player in Kermit Ruffins' band. His global touring resume includes six world tours and appearances at prestigious festivals such as North Sea Jazz, Newport, and Toronto Jazz Fest. Tonight, he leads the Richard Knox Organ Trio, delivering classic jazz and swing with his signature soulful touch.
