Resistor
Resistor has been banging around New York City (and on guitars, drums and bass) for the last 12 years. Founded by singer/guitarist, Doug Halsey and bass player Larry Kanter, the band plays a heady brand of post-punk, indie-style rock with a clear emphasis on songwriting. While comparisons have ranged from The Replacements to Sonic Youth, what distinguishes Resistor is the fusing of of all their influences resulting in records (which you can check out here: https://resistor-nyc.bandcamp.com/album/no) that jump all over stylistically but hang together musically. An energetic live band, they've done blistering covers of Echo and the Bunnymen, The Dream Syndicate, Joy Division and MIssion of Burma.
Gate 46
Gate 46 are a 5 piece rock-alt-pop band formed in New York City in 2019. The band is composed of vocalist Dan Casper, guitarists Jeremy Collado and Vinny Rodriguez, bassist Kai Martin and drummer Michael Carrano. Influenced by a wide range of music, their current style ranges from classic 70's to current alternative rock, with a mix of unique styling and harmonies.
Seth Benjamin & the Philistines
Seth Benjamin & the Philistines are a 4-piece indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY. Their songs have been called "catchy and sad".
