A BRIEF HISTORY OF REHASHER… Rehasher started when Jake moved to gainesville in 2002. we bashed out some of Geis and Jake's old band "hometeam" songs and really had fun playing blast speed stuff. Geis had some songs, and i had some songs, wrote a few together and we had the songs that make up "Offkey Melodies". We did a few gigs here and there, Played the FEST I, and even had a little van tour up the east coast for a few weeks. The transmission blew and we lost our asses on the tour. Afterwards, we would play here and there, but other interests and gigs slowly taking up time. I had continued to write blast speed stuff and wanted to make a 2nd Rehasher album. One of the songs was an instrumental we had around the "Offkey" days, so Geis and i wrote lyrics to that one and he sang that song ("Saving Face") We had some fun on a couple songs, but the rest of the album i wrote on my own. Jake came in and did the drums for the whole album in a day. I proceeded to take my sweet time and play all the bass and guitars, and refining the lyrics. I actually sang the majority of those tracks after hours while recording LTJ's GNV FLA. Alas, the 2nd album finally came out "High Speed Access to my Brain". We have only played a handful of shows since it's release, and now with Jake moved back up to Virginia, and fatherhood and other factors involved, the "band" is in the midst of a change. It has become even more of my own solo project, and the next batch of songs will surely offer proof to that. There are a few fast 'blast speed' songs that are reminiscent of older rehasher, but since that was 10 years ago, there are other new songs that have quite a different texture. I sort of hinted at this with the song "Finish what i started" on the 2nd album. I'm just a a point where i need to explore some other song ideas, and there will be some straight up rock and some slow-n-heavy type things as well. There are three different drummers involved and the songs are being recored/refined as i type this. So, you can rest assured there will be another rehasher album in the not super distant future.. thanks for your support!! -Roger
