The Rollin' Rust
Folk Rock
The Rollin' Rust is a folk rock group based out of the foothills of Central New York. Led by singer-songwriter James VanDeuson, The Rollin' Rust celebrates the distinguished writing style of a vagabond folk artist, incorporating elements of blues, bluegrass, roots, folk and country. Rollin' Rust tunes have a distinct originality to them; they'll be dropping you off somewhere between your favorite folk song and the closet where your mother's rock-n-roll collection still lives. James is joined by his bandmates Jim Hearn (lead guitarist) Kyle Dennis, (drums/vocals), and Nash Robb, (upright/elec. bass and vocals)
The Rollin' Rust formed in 2021 and has since made its musical mark with efficiency, performing at several notable music festivals including, Borderland Music Festival, the Finger Lakes GrassRoots Festival of Music and Dance (2023 - 2025), Great Blue Heron Music Festival, Stony Fork Music Festival, Seedstock Music Festival, Brew York, Sterling Stage, Fall Down Music Festival, and many others. The group has traveled to 25+ states, sharing lineups with CAAMP, Watchhouse (previously Mandolin Orange), The Black Crowes, Sam Bush, The Wood Brothers, Ric Robertson, Dark Star Orchestra, Ryan Montbleau, Marcus King, Cabinet, Fireside Collective, Houndmouth, Sierra Hull and more. The Rollin' Rust has directly supported Grammy winner Brandy Clark, Donna The Buffalo, Ryan Montbleau Band, Driftwood, Pressing Strings, Armchair Boogie, Dirty Blanket, Adam Ezra Group, Argonaut & Wasp, and Hunter Root.

Everyone has a story to tell—but for Upstate New York native turned Nashville artist Cassidy Lynn, that story took shape through songwriting. After studying at Belmont University, she earned her first major cut with “Ball Cap,” which hit #1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway with Glen Templeton and was later recorded by Dylan Scott.
Though always drawn to being an artist, Cassidy focused on writing for others, discovering a passion she hadn’t initially considered. Her dedication quickly earned her a place in rooms with top industry writers, including co-writing Tracy Lawrence’s “Don’t Drink Whiskey.”
Now stepping fully into her own artistry, Cassidy is celebrating her latest single, “The Writer.” Influenced by Miranda Lambert and Waylon Jennings, she blends heartfelt vocals with seasoned songwriting, carving out a sound uniquely her own.

Country
Blaine Holcomb grew up in Hamilton, NY, a small rural town in Upstate New York, and from a young age, he loved singing along to country radio. Blaine began playing guitar at age 11 and his passion for traditional country music only grew stronger from there. By his early teens, he was already performing at local venues, singing with friends, and with a band he started while in high school.
Soon after heading to St. Lawrence University to study Performance & Communication Arts, Blaine entered the Texaco Country Showdown, which is a nation-wide country music competition. He advanced to the regional finals and because of his performance, Blaine was recruited by the Fulton Chain Gang as their new lead singer. FCG is a New York State country band with a 20-year history. During his three years with FCG, Blaine opened for national acts like Justin Moore, Easton Corbin, and Josh Thompson. He reignited the band with fresh ideas and played a major role in the release of their first album, contributing five original songs while averaging 70 shows per summer. His experience with FCG was incredible and his band mates gave him the opportunity to develop his stage presence, singing, and songwriting, while also giving him valuable studio experience. Because of this, and with the support from his band mates, friends, and family, Blaine has decided to take his career to the next level and move to Nashville.
Blaine’s passion is geared more toward traditional country music, which you can hear when listening to his original songs. His influences include George Jones, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, Daryle Singletary, Randy Travis, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, and Brad Paisley.
As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, when he’s not performing on stage, it’s a safe bet that Blaine is in the woods. Music and a love of the outdoors are the two things that drive him the most. Both feel natural to him. What you see is what you get with Blaine, and it doesn’t take long to figure that out. He can’t help, but stay true to himself and his traditional country roots.
