British-American trio Raynes formed whenMat CharleyandJoe Berger, both born and raised inNorth Dakota, came across a video of UK nativeMark Raceon Instagram and fell in love—first withhis face, then with his voice. After a fewmessages and phone calls, Mark was on a plane to the USto start a band (a few months later, he had the flight number tattooed on his arm).Since then, Raynes has signed withSony Music Publishingand released six singles andfourEPs,drawing hundreds ofthousands of monthly listeners and tens of millions of streams and earningpress in Billboard and People. They’ve performedat BottleRock Festival andin clubs, concert halls, and amphitheaters across the US and the UK, developing a reputation as a high-energy live act.In 2025, Raynes’rendition of“I Want You to Want Me”was featured in an episode of Love Is Blind onNetflix.Known for their intricate vocal harmonies and unique instrumentation as well as their poetic lyrics,Raynes has yet to come up witha good answer as to what genre their music falls under. With allthree members coming from different musical backgrounds, the boys combine their diverseinfluences to form a group that draws inspiration from around the globe, incorporating elements offolk, rock, and chamber pop with Celtic and world music to create a wholly original—and difficult tocategorize—sound.

David Wimbish & The CollectionHeavy LoveAlbumBioDavid Wimbish wasn’t sure he had it in him to make another record. In the span of ayear, the folk-pop/rock singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist went through abreakup, moved from Saxapahawto Asheville, entered a new relationship and becamea father, all while Hurricane Helene devastated his community. Friends went missing. There was no clean water for months. At the same time, his longtime band was fallingapart. But through the exhaustionand uncertainty, David found his way back to music—and back to himself. Now based in Richmond, Virginia, David returns withHeavy Love, the warm, bracinglyhonest new album from David Wimbish & The Collection. Written and recorded largelyin theaftermath of Hurricane Helene, the album marks David’s first project createdalmost entirely on his own, with him writing, producing, and recording the record from astudio he built in his parents’ North Carolina home.Growing up surrounded by music in North Carolina, David launched The Collection incollege and has since built a devoted following through anthemic, heart-on-sleevealbums driven by stomp-and-holler energy, earnest songwriting, and deeply humanstorytelling. OnHeavy Love, he explores aging, heartbreak, dissolved friendships, natural disasters, nonconformity, love as action, and existential uncertainty withimmersive vulnerability and renewed clarity.
