She's a powerful singer, a prolific songwriter, a deft interpreter, a fixture in multiple Chicagoland bands and musical residencies, and a frequent close harmony singer on other people's records. Her band can as easily swing, rock, or make you cry with a ballad, all the while drenched in late-night honky-tonk ambiance no matter the time of day.
