Purity Ring’s self-titled fourth album marks the beginning of a bold new era, the duo have crafted a concept album that serves as the soundtrack to an imagined RPG. Inspired by games like Nier Automata and Final Fantasy X, the record tells the story of two hapless characters — embodiments of Megan James and Corin Roddick— on a journey to build a kinder world amid the ruins of a broken one. Roddick reaches into his deepest musical memories to sculpt euphoric, otherworldly soundscapes of vintage digital synths, classical guitar, pan flutes, breakbeats, and haunted vocoders. Along with her unmistakable sound, James has unlocked an arsenal of vocal deliveries and a joyous, dizzying stream of consciousness in her words. Here with their first self-titled and self-released LP, Purity Ring steps fully into a dream they've been circling for years—one that feels vast, unrestrained, and true to who they’ve become. Since emerging in the early 2010s, James and Roddick have made a lasting impact on the electronic pop landscape, building a world all their own with immersive self-produced albums and groundbreaking visual live show experiences. Their debut Shrines (2012) earned Pitchfork’s Best New Music Honors and was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize, and breakout track “Fineshrine” is RIAA Gold-certified in the U.S. Over the years, they’ve collaborated with artists including Danny Brown, Deftones and Black Dresses.

Brett Bolton is an audiovisual artist from Las Vegas who creates tightly connected musical and visual systems and then controls them live with drums and a touchpad. Every drum hit, synth line, and ambient swell is tied directly to a visual element, allowing each AV song to be as dynamic, improvised, and imperfect as the human that drives it. Given the real-time generative nature of the AV systems he builds, every performance is a completely unique collaboration between computer and human that exists only in that moment and can never be perfectly replicated. When he’s not building personal work, Brett designs visuals and real-time systems for touring pop artists, XR stages, and cutting-edge venues.  

yuniVERSE is an Indonesian-Australian producer and artist crafting textured electronic pop from aching melodies and whispered truths. As the driving creative force behind her self-produced work, she shapes every layer, from immersive soundscapes to intimate vocal production, ensuring her vision comes through in full. Her music lives between intimacy and release, weaving confessional lyrics into dreamlike atmospheres that resonate far beyond her own story. Blending electronic, R&B, and indie-pop, yuniVERSE creates songs that feel both deeply personal and universally relatable. Each track is a vulnerable sonic diary entry, designed to leave an emotional imprint long after the music ends.
