Public Water Supply: A Night in the Land of Oz (Halloween Show)
(wear a costume - wizard of Oz theme'd if you can!)
Rochester, NY — New York’s premier Alt. Country/ Indie Rock, PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY is exploding onto the national music scene with the release of its genre-bending debut album. This initial collection features twelve songs from the PWS artistic catalogue and is listed as a self-titled album. Released on all platforms on January 13, 2023, the album release party later that night culminated in a sold out show of 450+ fans at Fairport, New York’s Iron Smoke Distillery. The eclectic band consists of five university-trained musicians: Iggy Marino, frontman; Karis Gregory, Jr., lead guitar; Alex Brophy, team captain and bass; and Spencer Kornrish, bus driver and drums. Together, the group blends prodigious vocals, distinctive songwriting, and top-notch instrumentals. Their animated live shows, often sold out performances, are noted for their outrageously fun and frenzied fans known as “babies.” In 2022/2023, the adoring frenzy led to a successful touring schedule with PWS playing live venues throughout the Northeast. PWS will be rocking the stage of several summer music festivals, including the Lilac Festival & the Estival Festival.
Music reviewers describe the PWS sound as “debauched indie folk with a not-so-Telecaster® twang”. “People tell us our music is unique and fresh,” exclaimed Kornrich. “We are young writers creating music in a traditional genre, but we are not afraid to break the rules to make some very interesting and modern sounds.”
